Safari Peaugres is a French zoo in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, in the department of Ardeche, in the town of Peaugres, near Annonay. Opened in 1974 by Paul de la Panouse, it covers 80 hectares. It has about 1000 animals and 127 species.

- The Alambic Museum in Saint-Désirat (9 km) unveils the art of distillation and traveling distillers.
- The Palace of Facteur Cheval (30 km) in the heart of the village of Hauterives, in a pleasant garden of 1000 m2 was donated by Ferdinand Cheval between 1879 and 1912. It is classified as an historic monument.
- Site "Eaux Vives" in Saint-Pierre de Boeuf (9 km)
- Annonay (15 km). It is from this Ardèche town that the first balloon flight took off in 1783. In the Place de la Libération, a statue pays tribute to the Montgolfier brothers. Each year, the first weekend of June, the town organizes the Balloon Festival. On the program: flights and air baptisms, animations, pageant etc. Annonay also hosts the French Balloon Championship.

While circulating in the museum you will discover, the DISTILLERY JEAN GAUTHIER: the distillation workshop, the bottling chain, one of our maturation cellars and the whole manufacturing process thanks to a slide show of digital images. In April 1879, Ferdinand Cheval, a rural postman, stumbled on a stone so strange that it awoke a dream. For 33 years, he built a Palace alone in his garden, inspired by nature, postcards and illustrated magazines.
